About Amanda

Hi, I'm Amanda Sevilla, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and yoga teacher who specializes in helping others develop healthier and happier relationships through plant-based eating and mindfulness exercises such as yoga and meditation. I also work in the clinical setting, providing medical nutrition therapy to patients complicated with heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease, obesity, cancer, and more. 

I began my vegan journey in 2015 after learning about how diet can really influence our modern health statuses-- not to mention the ethical and environmental impact that the meat and dairy industry have on the world. This discovery led me to study Nutrition and Dietetics at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California (one of the five Blue Zones of the world!). During my training, I learned how to incorporate nutrition in healing practices and in ways that can be sustainable and enjoyable for the client. I am also certified in Plant-Based Nutrition through the e-Cornell Course compiled by Dr. T. Colin Campbell, so that I could help other further enhance their health through plants.

I am also a yoga teacher- I completed 500 hours of yoga teacher training in Vinyasa and Ashtanga in Rishikesh, India and now teach locally and online.  Along with clinical dietetics and teaching yoga, I also serve as the dietitian on VeganFitness.com, where I provide nutrition guidance and information to those participating in the 8-week Vegan Fitness Challenges. 

I understand how hard it might be to transition and learn about a plant-based diet, so that's why I created this website. I truly believe in the power that each person has over their health and lifestyle. All it takes is some guidance in the right direction, support to continue these changes, and cultivating tools to sustain life changing habits. I am honored to be part of a process that allows you to step back into your power and feel great with plants.

I was born and raised in Southern California and reside here to this day. On any given day, you can find me at a coffee shop sipping on an oat milk latte, cooking up new plant-based meals, practicing yoga, or sharing my thoughts and flows on Instagram and YouTube.
